Amar Toumi comes from algerian desert in Gardaia and started music at 4 years old. At 7, he was already playing with his family for all kind of festivals and wedings around his town. At the same time he started studying arabo andalouse music with masters from maghreb. He lives from 1990 in Geneva and played among other with Manu Dibango, Selso Machado,Michel Doneda, Mara Diabate, Sangoma Everett, Ravi Shankar Mishra. |
